enjoyable climbing sunday
it always feels good when you enjoy the climbs..except that it has been getting so damn hot at yishun lately..the chicken rice & lemon tea at yishun us juuust close to perfect after a tiring day.
perfect way to end the day
watch a bouldering comp(rock masters actually)
they had alot of new changes made to the comp which really adds freshness to the whole thing
they scrapped the bonus idea and changed it to the point system, had an additional observational period, had 3 walls ... a giano-mous volume that resembles a stagletite except it sticks out of the walk , threw chalk into the crowd and the commentry was funny..
oh ya...i didn't watch the whole comp but there was alot of jump start which makes it extra thrilling to the crowd, spare the climbers who were short..(glad i'm not a shortie hahaha)
at the back of my head there is 1 comp i recall that the commentry went " climber you have 1 minute left" ..and he just kept repeating that
A friend mentioned the idea of working hard for the next 2-3 years so we could afford to save sufficently that we could travel around and climb for a year. The idea was serious and very attractive to me..something I thought of some time back for a long lonng time. The values in me are preventing me from it. Envy the ang mors who have some kind of global experience program where they have 1 yr leave from U to let them experience the different cultures and see the world. WE (Singaporeans) slog and work hard to put a roof over our heads (HDB). Our accomodation is not cheap at all mind you. It costs hundreds of thousands and the first figure just depends on the size you want. JUdging from how much we earn a month, i feel it is nonsense and ridiculous.
